Social innovation in health then appears here.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>The world of health is not oblivious to the need for social changes<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, in Latin America there are different cases of ventures linked to this due to the need to rethink the role of health professionals as protagonists in social well-being.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A multidisciplinary team to recognize the role of people in the collective construction of solutions is essential. This to somehow get out of the paradigms that on certain occasions do not give the necessary solutions or consider the context. <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section data-particle_enable=\"false\" data-particle-mobile-disabled=\"false\" class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-1c73b36 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"1c73b36\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-settings=\"{&quot;jet_parallax_layout_list&quot;:[],&quot;_ha_eqh_enable&quot;:false}\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-c590b4f\" data-id=\"c590b4f\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d266a00 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"d266a00\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">2811 in Social Innovation in Health<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-709bcf5 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"709bcf5\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>It is under this premise that the <a href=\"https:\/\/2811global.com\/en\/iniciativas\/social-innovation-in-health-course\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Social Innovation in Health Course<\/span><\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">was taught from August to December 2022<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, an international project organized by the Faculty of Medicine of the Pontificia Universidad Cat\u00f3lica de Chile in alliance with 2811 and<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/ashokau.org\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ashoka<\/span><\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This project had the participation of higher education institutions from Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru, with the<\/span> <b>purpose of providing tools to students<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to assume an active role in the<\/span> <b>search for social well-being<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">through innovation and social entrepreneurship. .<\/span> <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students will also develop skills to help them learn and understand social innovation as a method to solve future professional challenges and find different alternatives to the same problem. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ignacio D\u00edaz, 2811 Project Coordinator, points out: \u201cCo-creation as an essential element when designing solutions to problems that involve people.<\/span> <b>This academic opportunity encourages teamwork and the collaborative creation<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of solutions, always considering social innovation as a baseline of action\u201d.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this first version, 40 students from the Tecnol\u00f3gico de Monterrey (MEX), Pontificia Universidad Cat\u00f3lica de Chile (CHI), Universidad de Los Andes (COL) and Universidad del Pac\u00edfico (PER) participated. In total, 11 project prototypes were presented to be applied in different thematic areas related to health.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Some of the topics were linked to organizations that work with people with visual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder in infants, discrimination issues related to HIV and Down Syndrome. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Among the final results of the project coordinators, it was concluded that &#8220;<\/span> <b>young people are interested in learning about social innovation<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, they really appreciate working in groups with peers from other countries, universities and careers.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThis activity has allowed us to interact and facilitate some of the initiatives, along with potential solutions to the situation.
