How do we do it?
Social innovation corresponds to ideas or projects that generate innovative, creative and sustainable solutions around social and ecological challenges. Currently, in the area of health there are major problems that require an approach with a different and multidisciplinary perspective. The Social Innovation in Health Course seeks that its students generate ideas and projects to provide solutions to challenges related to health.
In this training, people and teams from different regions and countries form working groups with which they delve into problems and generate different ideas that can solve these challenges. The focus of the course seeks that the same problem, whatever it may be, can be addressed from multiple alternatives, which are enriched with multidisciplinary and intercultural work groups.
The training incorporates a teaching team from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, the Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico, the Universidad de los Andes in Colombia and the Universidad del Pacífico in Peru, with students associated with these four Institutions. The confluence of four universities in Latin America and the health crisis has made it possible to devise solutions related to the pandemic and different problems related to health in different countries. Among the challenges addressed in the latest versions are work with organizations that work with visual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, problems related to HIV and Down Syndrome.
If you want to prepare to meet these types of needs, we invite you to contact us and enroll in our next cohort.
